US religious official: China at war with all faiths

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY(REDNA)- An American religious figure accused the Chinese Communist Party of being at war with all faiths.

Sam Brownback , the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback said America and its democratic allies must “stand firmly” in promoting religious freedom as a “common human right.”

Washington Times reported attending an international conference aimed at advancing freedom of faith on Friday he called for some measures at international level to stop China from pressing other faiths.

This is while attacks on religious freedom in China, North Korea, Japan, the Middle East, and elsewhere around the world have increased.

Additionally, some organizers said since the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in July in Japan, members of the Unification Church, whose followers say they’ve faced death threats and other forms of harassment have unjustifiably persecuted in Japan.
