Saudi Arabia Welcomes UN Rights Body’s Resolution on Countering Religious Hatred

RELIGIOUS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – Saudi Arabia has welcomed the adoption of the draft resolution “Countering Religious Hatred Constituting Incitement to Discrimination, Hostility, or Violence” by the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

Alsharq Al-Awsat reported after persistent demands from the Kingdom and other countries, Saudi Arabia stressed on Wednesday that adopting the draft resolution embodies the principles of respecting religions and cultures and reinforces the human values guaranteed by international law.

The Kingdom also emphasized that it will continue its efforts to promote dialogue, tolerance, and moderation while rejecting all destructive actions that seek to spread hatred and extremism.
