The Muslim Council of Britain calls for humanitarian corridors in Syria to deliver aid

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – The Muslim Council of Britain called for humanitarian corridors in Syria to deliver aid.

It, as Religion Media Center reported, has written to the Foreign Secretary calling on the government to work with international partners to establish humanitarian corridors into northern Syria, allowing aid to be delivered to people affected by the recent earthquakes.

The letter says there are significant challenges after the long conflict severely damaged local infrastructure and the healthcare system.

It acknowledges an international outpouring of donations and aid but continues: “The people of northern Syria are in dire need of support, and it is time for us to act”.
