An Islamic center to be built in Birmingham, Britain

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – Construction work of an Islamic center in Birmingham in Britain is being underway.

One million brick appeal has been launched to build a six storey mosque and community centre in Birmingham, to be known as The Islamic Centre of Britain.

It will include an Islamic school for 500 children, a community center opens to all, a commercial Centre, an iconic mosque and a garden for contemplation.

The project director Mohammad Ramzan Dabbagh told the Islam Channel that the process to find the land, develop plans and get them approved had taken 12 years, but it would be an iconic building in the heart of the city.
