Dalai Lama condoled Modi on his mother`s demise

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, offered his condolence to Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, on demise of his mother.

Dalai Lama, as “The Tibet Post” reported Modi`s mother died at the age of 99 on December 30, 2022.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is currently in Bodhgaya, Bihar, for three days of teachings.

After he learnt of the demise of PM Modi’s mother, Heeraben Modi, he wrote to PM Modi to express his condolences on December 30, 2022.

“I offer you my condolences, I am currently staying in Bodh Gaya and I will pray for her,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama wrote in his condolence letter.

“Your mother lived to a good age of 99. She must have been proud to see her son rise to the position of Prime Minister of this great country,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama said.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama ended his letter with prayers.

Heeraben Modi, mother of PM Narendra Modi, who was hospitalised on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, after her health deteriorated. She passed away at around 3.30am, on December 30, 2022 at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad, India.
