2 Muslim school closed in France

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) 2 Muslim schools were closed by local officials in Montpelier in France.

As “Religion Media Center” reported the schools were operating without permission.

The regional governor ordered the closures after unannounced checks.

Closure of mosques and Muslim institutions was made possible by a law passed last year to crack down on religious extremism.

But it has been criticized for provoking Islamophobia and higher levels of hate crime have been reported.
