A Muslim student in Australia got victim of Islamophobia
RELIGION NEWS AGENCY(REDNA)- A teacher of media forces her Muslim student look at a cartoon depicting Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) in Melbourne, Australia.
The student was said to be the victim of Islamophobia.
Sara Ammar from Melbourne told Anadolu Agency she had been shocked when the teacher put this cartoon on television on October 14 and said it was the Prophet Muhammad.
Sara, 16-year-old and in 11th grade, said everyone in the class had got shocked.
Ammar added there were several other Muslim students in each class.
According to her, the teacher did not let Sara leave the class.
Sara who was humiliated by the teacher said the teacher described the person who created the cartoon as innocent and defended him.
This comes as Australia is a multi-faith and multi-cultural diversity country and the contents taught at the classes need to be chosen carefully so no student of different communities is offended.
