Sheikh Ul-Al-Azhar received invitation from Iranian scholar

For Muslim-Muslim dailogue foundations to be laid

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY(REDNA)- A religious Iranian scholar invited Sheikh ul-Azhar to come to Iran to lay the foundation of a Muslim-Muslim dialogue.

Hojat ul-Islam Wal-Muslemin Shariari, the secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) in an interview with Almayadeen Arabic TV channel said the WPFIST with a delegation from World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is also ready to take the same tripe to Egypt.

He added such a trip and talk with the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and study of Muslim-Muslim dialogue is desirable.

“Plots of enemies having targeted the unity of Muslims with magnifications of differences will be defused when Al-Azhar chief comes to Iran and an important issue is added to the equations. We can also resist the enemies` plots.” Shariari said

He emphasized any invitation for strengthening unity among Muslims is welcomed by Iran.

Back on November 7, Shahriari wrote a letter to al-Tayeb, welcoming the Egyptian scholar’s call for Shia-Sunni dialogue.

Speaking on November 4 in Bahrain, Al-Tayeb said, “I and major scholars of Al-Azhar and Muslim Council of Elders are ready with open arms to sit down together on one roundtable with our Shia brothers to put aside our differences and strengthen our Islamic unity.”

Such a dialogue, he maintained, will aim at chasing away any talk of hate, provocation and excommunication and setting aside ancient and modern conflict in all its forms.

“I call on my brothers, Muslim scholars, across the world of every doctrine, sect and school of thought to hold an Islamic dialogue,” al-Tayeb stressed.
