A Moroccan women sentenced to jail for insulting Islam

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – A woman in Morocco was sentenced to two years jail because of insulting Islam.

Fatima Karin put a satirical comments about the Quran in Facebook.

The post insulted Islam.

Fatima in her trial said her comments were in accordance with the freedom of speech guaranteed by Moroccan constitution.

But the lower court rejected that and her appeal was dismissed in mid-September.
