Unity not an ordinary proposal, but an essential religious principal

Molavi Mohammad Eshagh Madani:

REDNA – Moulavi Madani speaking in the 9th webinar of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference said each year a considerable number of scholars and dignitaries from the Islamic world come together in this conference and most of them are new comers and some of them are also frequent participants of this gathering but each year new ideas are brought up in this conference. This is a major achievement for the World forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought to gather a group of local and foreign Islamic clerics and scholars both Shiite and Sunnis in this conference, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said there are lots of verses in the holy Quran and various traditions reminding us that unity is a divine order and essential part of our religion, adding that if there were no unity at the outset of the Islam, Islam would not take root at all. Following the demise of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH),and emergence of  dispute about his successor, Imam Ali (AS) decided to safeguard unity and do not let the enemies to take advantage, because the dispute could turn to war and conflict.

Molavi Es’hagh Madani said in the course of history of Islam, whenever there has been a dispute among Muslim they have sustained losses. According to Molavi Madani as long as Othman Caliph was in power, all efforts by the Zionists to secure the land of Palestine failed and he did not accept such humiliation.

He added that the root cause of events and problems within the Islamic world is dispute and disagreement and any achievement we see is the result of unity among Muslims. Today Muslims are obliged to support those governments that support Muslims and reject the legality of the Zionist regime.
