36th International Islamic Unity Conference kicks off

REDNA – More than 170 Shia and Sunni leaders, luminaries and thinkers from across the globe are attending the 36th round of the Islamic Unity is held on the theme of “Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the Islamic World”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will deliver the opening speech and President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi will also express his views on the latest issues challenging the world of Islam.

A number of Shia and Sunni participants in the ceremony will visit the mausoleum of the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA).

Virtual meetings of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference has been underway since October 10.

More than 300 thinkers and intellectuals will be delivering speech in the webinars and in presence meetings of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference.
