Blast near mosque in Balochistan, Pakistan left 10 killed, 50 injured

RELIGIONS NEWS AGENCY (REDNA) – At least ten people were killed, including a police official, and 50 others were injured after an explosion hit Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Friday.

Muslim News reported Mastung Assistant Commissioner Atta Ul Munim said the blast was of a “massive nature” and took place near the Madina mosque where people were gathering to mark Eid Miladun Nabi.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori from Mastung was also amongst those killed.

The blast took place near Madina Masjid at Alfalah Road a mosque in Mastung district when people had gathered for Miladun Nabi [Prophet’s birthday].

Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, in a statement, condemned the blast and noted that the state had a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorists.Sindh Interim Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar condemned the blast, according to a statement from his spokesperson.

The chief minister, the statement read, said that those involved in taking the lives of innocent people are the “enemies of humanity”, reported The News.
