“Ghadir is going to marked by the University of Religions and Denominations.”
Hojat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslemin Dr. Seyyed Abul-Hassan Nawwab, the principal of the University of Religions and Denominations while meeting with the great Ayatullah Sobhani informed about holding a conference by the University of Religions and Denominations in July 6 2023.
Dr. Nawwab, in this meeting, was accompanied by the members of the coming Ghadir conference organizing committee.
“Ghadir is of the great importance to Shia Muslims so the university is going to hold a conference titled “Ghadir in realm of Islamic Civilization and Culture” to celebrate it.” REDNA (Religious News Agency) quoted Dr. Seyyed Abul-Hassan Nawwab as saying.
“The conference was going to be held in 2019 but due to COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed.” the Principle of the University of Religions and Denominations added
Dr. Nawwab said:” Now that COVIC-19 is released, the time if right to hold the due conference.”
The conference is going to be held prior to Eid al-Ghadir Dr. Nawwab informed.
This is to say Ghadir is the commemoration of Prophet Muhammad’s (saw) final sermon at Ghadir Khumm which Shias believe as the basis for their acceptance of Imam Ali (a.s.) succession to the Prophet.
Each year Shia Muslims across the world, particularly in Iran, celebrate Eid al-Ghadir.
The Principle of the University of Religions and Denominations as close to his meeting with Ayatullah Sobhani awarded the great Ayatullah all publications by the University of Religions and Denominations.
